How to Apply

The Admission Process

We are excited to learn of your interest in applying to Falmouth Academy!  We welcome applications for grades 7 through 12 and look forward to working with you throughout the admissions process.  The initial admission application deadline is February 1 for a March 10 notification.  Applications received after the deadline are reviewed upon completion.  Please contact the Admission Office for information about openings in select grades.

List of 6 items.

  • Step 1: Inquire

If you do not already have a MyFA online account, please start the application process by filling out an inquiry form on our “Request Information” page on our website.

Once you’ve inquired, you will be mailed information about Falmouth Academy and set up with an account to start the admission application process.  If you do not receive information with your username and password after inquiring, please reach out to Olivia Riddiford (oriddiford@falmouthacademy.org) and she will work with you to ensure you can access the online application and checklist.
  • Step 2: Complete Student and Parent/Guardian Application

We are excited to have your family start the online application! Once you have been set up with a username and password through the inquiry process, please log into your MyFA account to access the online application.  Once logged on, you can begin to fill out the student and parent/guardian application.

The cost of the application is $65 for domestic students and $100 for international students. The application fee can be paid online through the application portal.  While the online Falmouth Academy admission application is preferred, we also accept the SSAT Standard Application Online (SAO)
  • Step 3: Schedule a Day Visit and Interview

All prospective students are encouraged to spend a full school day visiting classes and meeting fellow classmates. The visit day is from 8:15 a.m. to 2:35 p.m., typically with the grade to which the student is applying. We match one of our current students with each visitor considering shared interests. Interviews take place on the same day as the visit.

Schedule a day visit and interview through your online application checklist on MyFA by selecting the “Schedule an interview” button.

If you are unable to schedule your visit and interview through your Falmouth Academy online account, please email Assistant Director of Admission Olivia Riddiford
  • Step 4: Request Transcript

Please request an official transcript from your student’s current school.  The transcript should include grades from the last three years plus the first trimester or semester of the current academic year.  A transcript release form can be found on your MyFA account.
  • Step 5: Request Recommendations

To help the Admission Office learn more about your student and his or her academic strengths, we ask to hear from your student’s current English and math teachers.  Please send recommendation requests through your MyFA application checklist.

  • Step 6: Complete a Tuition Assistance Application

Falmouth Academy offers need-based aid to qualified students. Please visit the Tuition and Affordability page on the Falmouth Academy website for more information on how to apply. Tuition assistance applications are due February 1.
