Falmouth Academy is
Up to the Challenge!

Choosing a School is a Big Decision

Finding the best fit for a child's education is a big decision. It impacts the social, emotional, and academic well-being of the student as well as their growth, development, and future success. It can be overwhelming! But don't worry.

We've compiled a best-fit guide to help you navigate the process with a list of questions to consider. Bring it with you when you visit here or elsewhere to keep track of what you learn and feel about the schools you visit.

Public? Charter? Boarding? Parochial? Independent? There are so many choices for schools nowadays that it can be hard to differentiate and understand the value of each. We encourage you to be an informed consumer and not leave your child's future up to chance.

Falmouth Academy is an independent school and part of the National Association of Independent Schools, which delineates the unique advantages of schools like Falmouth Academy. We've created a handy guide that you can download to help you learn more about the independent-school advantage and invite you to register for an upcoming information session.

FA is an Independent, College-Preparatory Day School for Grades 7 - 12

At Falmouth Academy, we value balance: our students learn to work attentively and to play enthusiastically. They practice a Haydn concerto with the same effort they put into writing an essay. They exercise their bodies on the sports fields as they exercise their minds in the classroom.

Every day is a chance to discover new passions and prepare for a future filled with possibilities. Offering students in grades 7 through 12 a curriculum that is intentionally structured and fully responsive to this changing world and its many pressing “challenges of our times.” Falmouth Academy is up to the challenge. Is your student?

Led by Head of School Matt Green, our remarkable teachers provide an innovative academic program that is deep in English, history, science, mathematics, modern languages and enhanced by signature offerings including Arts-Across the Curriculum and Science in the Real World, a robust music and drama program, a competitive and inclusive sports program and over 40+ electives
Falmouth Academy is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and is a member in good standing with the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). Falmouth Academy adheres to the NAIS Principles of Good Practice with regards to its admission and financial aid processes.
