Alumni play a vital role in the life of Falmouth Academy, and our Alumni Relations program can play a very important role in their lives as well.
The Alumni Office is contacted daily by those looking for connections within our alumni community to obtain internships or jobs or just talk with someone who has experience in areas of interest to them.
The Alumni Council hosts regional networking events to connect alumni in their communities and professional lives in major cities, at school sporting events, and in volunteer service.
We help current students network with alumni to gain an advantage in college life and career opportunities. Alumni serve as judges for the Science and Engineering Fair, coach our sports teams, direct our plays, act as mentors, and share their experiences at Alumni College & Career Networking Day.

"Bottom of the Barrel, Top of the World"
“You can look down Broadway in Nashville and see five blocks of honkytonks. And inside each ‘tonk there will be at least two stages and singers and songwriters playing their hearts out to get noticed,” said Johnny Gwynn ’07, a professional musician making his living as a songwriter in Nashville. Guest-appearing in the Falmouth Academy Music Majors After School Activity taught by Mr. George Scharr, in a segment he called “Meet the Pros,” Gwynn talked about his life as a country songwriter. -
Rajagopal Makes a Fashion Statement with the Launch of NAAL
When Kunaal Rajagopal ’16 was a student at Falmouth Academy, he was known for his carefully curated wardrobe, especially his large sneaker collection. His closet wasn’t a shrine to labels however, it was an expression of learning how to fit in. “I tried to contemplate my style and what I felt comfortable in. I didn’t really have an identity. But I learned no matter what you wear, if you feel confident in it, you’re going to look good because at the end of the day you can just own it.” Today he does own it, literally; his label, NAAL Apparel, launched in August. -
An Interview with Award-Winning Native Affairs Reporter Savannah Maher '13
When Savannah Maher ’13 was growing up in Mashpee, she was concerned that local news didn’t cover things that mattered to her Wampanoag friends and family. After majoring in Sociology and Native American Studies at Dartmouth and working as a producer on Here & Now in Boston, she finally realized her dream of covering Native affairs as a reporter for Wyoming Public Radio.
