ADULT CERAMICS - making pots

Under the direction of Seth Rainville, Falmouth Academy's ceramics teacher and professional potter, participants will learn wheel skills as well as finishing techniques such as glazing, sgraffito, Mishima, and more!  Classes are designed for beginner and intermediate potters, but all are welcome! The fall and winter classes will begin with the fundamentals of a basic cylinder, which will be shaped into coffee mugs and teacups for your favorite cold-weather warmers. As skills progress, participants will advance to soup bowls and small sandwich plates.  All items will be microwave, dishwasher, and food safe.

As the seasons change and the days get warmer, the class will incorporate new designs such as shallow bowls for salad or cups for cold drinks.
