Please note that we may use or disclose personal information if we reasonably believe that doing so is necessary to protect the rights and safety of FA, its community, or others; to prevent fraud or abuse; to comply with a law enforcement investigation, a judicial or regulatory proceeding, or a court order, or an applicable legal requirement.
PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
FA endeavors to only collect information pertinent to managing the daily operations of our school and its community outreach programming. The types of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) may include your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, date of birth, credit/debit card number or banking information (whch we do not keep on file), and other information.
WHY WE COLLECT PII
FA collects PII to provide services and information to you. When viewing our website you may be asked to enter PII when subscribing to school communications, inquiring about admission events, applying to, enrolling in and attending our school, summer camps, and other school-sponsored activities and programs, complying with a financial obligation, such as paying tuition and fees, accessing our “MyFA” portal, making a donation, connecting with Alumni, renting or requesting permission to use facilities, responding to a job posting, applying to and working at FA, or providing feedback to us.
Cookies are small data files that a website may place on your computer or mobile device on your initial visit to a site and are used to quickly identify the user on subsequent visits. The information collected by the cookie helps to evaluate the use and number of visits to a site and may be used to improve the functionality and location of content and pages.
FA uses Google Analytics to inform us how our website is used and to improve its functionality. The information collected may include how often a user visits the site, pages within the site, and what other sites may have been viewed prior to landing at our site. Google collects the IP address assigned to your device on the date of the visit but not your PII and we do not combine the information collected by Goggle with PII.
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. When we collect or transmit sensitive information, such as a credit or debit card number, we use industry-standard methods to protect that information. Credit and debit card information is used solely for the purpose of completing a specific transaction and such information is not retained in our database.
While FA strives to protect your information, we cannot guarantee security. You are also responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your personal information against unauthorized disclosure or misuse.
ACCESSING, UPDATING, AND RETAINING INFORMATION
You may request that we modify, hide, or delete personal information that you have provided to us by emailing us at email@example.com. If you have a “MyFA” account, certain information can be modified, hidden, updated, or removed directly by you through your “MyFA” profile. We store PII only as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, for the time period required by law, or as long as is necessary for our business purposes.
