Falmouth Academy Middle School Boys Basketball Team Wins Super Six Championship, Finishes Undefeated
The Falmouth Academy Middle School Mariners capped an extraordinary season by winning the Super Six Championship, completing an undefeated campaign defined by teamwork, resilience, and school pride.
Throughout the season, the Mariners demonstrated consistent growth and cohesion, blending experienced players with emerging younger athletes. Their hard work and shared commitment resulted in a championship performance that reflected not only their skill, but their character.
Coach Andy Hamilton reflected on the season’s impact:
“Winning the basketball championship and going undefeated this season felt like an added bonus to having had the opportunity to coach this group of young student-athletes. We had a great mix of younger and older players who learned to support each other both in practice and during games. Some of my favorite moments were seeing older players jump off the bench to celebrate the younger ones’ baskets or defensive plays.”
Many members of the team were also part of Falmouth Academy’s undefeated Super 6 Championship soccer squad this fall, helping to build a culture of collaboration and shared success.
“They developed a cohesive work ethic that carried into both seasons,” Coach Hamilton added. “They’ve certainly learned how to win. I’m especially excited about the strong group of seventh graders returning next year — FA should have some very competitive high school athletes in the years ahead.”
Falmouth Academy congratulates the Mariners on an outstanding season and applauds the leadership, sportsmanship, and dedication they brought to the court.
