Falmouth Academy Musicians Shine at Regional Festival Auditions

Falmouth Academy's vibrant music program continues to demonstrate excellence as 16 talented student musicians earned coveted spots in three prestigious regional music festivals. These achievements highlight the depth and vibrancy of FA’s music program, which includes chorus, string and wind ensembles, jazz and rock bands, and instrumental chamber music.

With over 70 students enrolled across multiple ensembles, Falmouth Academy's music program emphasizes both technical skill development and creative expression. The program's success in preparing students for competitive auditions showcases the dedication of both students and faculty in maintaining the school's tradition of musical excellence.

All-State Competition Nominations
Two exceptional musicians, Adelina Greco '29 and Genie Chang '26, have been nominated to audition for the highly competitive MMEA All-State Festival. Each January, over 1,000 high school students from across Massachusetts audition for this prestigious event, with only 50% accepted to attend the two-day festival.
We wish Adelina and Genie the very best of luck as they prepare for their All-State auditions. Their nomination alone is a tremendous achievement that speaks to their dedication and hard work.

About Falmouth Academy's Music Program
Falmouth Academy's commitment to the arts encourages students to embrace creativity alongside intellectual growth. The school's music program provides opportunities for students to develop their talents through multiple performance ensembles and rigorous music theory coursework. Student musicians who participate in FA's ensembles are eligible to audition for local, regional, and state music festivals, giving them the opportunity to apply skills honed in small ensembles to performances with full concert bands, symphony orchestras, and large choral groups.

Throughout the year, FA's six music ensembles collaborate to present major concerts each trimester, and the school mounts three or more theatre productions annually. This culture of performance and collaboration has helped prepare our students for success at the highest levels of competitive music.
Congratulations to all of our student musicians on these incredible accomplishments! The entire Falmouth Academy community looks forward to cheering on these talented performers at their festival performances.
