Performing and Studio Arts

Join us for another year of theatre, studio arts, and music. Calling all budding thespians! Join our Musical Theater Academy where you take the stage in a Broadway Jr. musical, learning lines, choreography, and set design. Our always popular Pottery on the Wheel returns with limited seats available. We’re getting the band back together this summer for another Rock Band jam session. Join us for a fun-filled week of music in our Ukulele Summer Program — the perfect introduction to playing music for young learners! Practice your best dance moves in Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz and Lyrical.

Please note: Many of our performing arts sessions are open to campers participating in Camp Seafarers.
DRAMA CLINICS

MUSICAL THEATER ACADEMY (Ages 10-14)

A two-week, full day drama intensive led by a professional stage director, culminating in a live stage production. Campers will learn lines, projection, vocal control, and stage direction.

THEATER ARTS ACADEMY (Ages 10-14)
This one-week, full day drama intensive, directed by a theater professional, leads to a fully staged production in the Hermann Theater. Campers will learn lines, stage movement, and the fundamentals of theatrical performance.

ACTING & IMPROV (Ages 10-14)

Step into the spotlight! This high-energy class introduces campers to the fundamentals of acting and improvisation. Through theater games, character work, and spontaneous scene-building, they'll gain confidence, sharpen their storytelling skills, and learn to think on their feet. Whether you're a seasoned performer or brand new to the stage, this class is all about creativity, collaboration, and having fun!
 
HIP HOP (Ages 8-14)
Move and groove to your favorite songs! Campers will learn energetic hip-hop routines from a professional dance instructor in a fun and upbeat atmosphere—no experience necessary.

CONTEMPORARY DANCE (Ages 8-14)
Designed for all experience levels, this class introduces the fundamentals of contemporary dance, including expressive movement, technique, and choreography with a professional instructor.

MUSIC CLINICS

FA Rock Band Week with Mrs. Buccino
Morning session 9-12
Ready to turn up the volume this summer? Join us for FA Rock Band Week, a high-energy, hands-on music program where students collaborate to form a real rock band! Over five exciting mornings, you'll rehearse, jam, and learn what it takes to be part of a band — from mastering your instrument to syncing up as a group and bringing your best to the stage. 🎤 Open to vocalists, guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboardists, and other instrumentalists!
Whether you're just getting started or already rocking out, you'll grow your skills, confidence, and creativity in a supportive, fun environment. 
Morning session 9-12
 
BEGINNER VIOLIN (Ages 8-14)
Designed for campers with little or no violin experience, this group lesson focuses on form, technique, and producing a consistent sound. Campers will play recognizable songs together, fostering collaboration and confidence. Violin rentals can be arranged if needed.

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED STRINGS  (Ages 8-14)

Designed for experienced string players looking to refine technique, musicianship, and ensemble playing. Campers should have at least three years experience playing.

INTRO TO UKULELE (Ages 6-14)
Morining session 9-12
Join us for a fun-filled week of music in our Ukulele Summer Program — the perfect introduction to playing music for young learners! Whether it’s your first time holding an instrument or you’re already strumming a few chords, this camp is designed to spark creativity, confidence, and a love for making music.
