Transportation

Transporting students from 25 area towns

As a convenience to parents, Falmouth Academy makes bus transportation available to off-Cape, mid-Cape, South Coast, and Vineyard students.  The cost of transportation covers the full school year and is a charge incurred by the family. For this year’s fees associated with transportation, please visit the Tuition and Affordability page.

Bus transportation aligns with the school program, leaving Falmouth Academy at 4:40 p.m. Monday through Thursday and at 2:45 p.m. on Friday.  These times enable students to use the library, computer room, participate in sports, or partake in other after-school programs.

The bus schedule for the start of the 2019-2020 school year is below. The routes are determined by the needs of the students and may be modified as needed.
"Over my many years commuting on the boat to the university where I worked, I was continually impressed by the Vineyard kids on their way to and from Falmouth Academy. Their dedication to their studies was obvious ..."

The Falmouth Academy shuttle bus meets the Vineyard and Woods Hole students at the Woods Hole Ferry Terminal. The Woods Hole departure time depends on the arrival of the Vineyard ferry. Even though the shuttle is designed for Martha’s Vineyard students, Woods Hole students may ride the shuttle at the regular fee if there is room. Please note that the Mid-Cape bus goes down to the ferry terminal after it drops off students at FA at 7:40 a.m.

"...More importantly, though,  I was taken aback by how well they watched out and cared for each other. I wanted my son, Kiric, to experience this wonderful sense of community and belonging. We haven’t been disappointed" —Tom Hallahan, Oak Bluffs
