In this class, you’ll take a deep dive into the fascinating worlds of math and environmental science. While the two might seem very different, it turns out that math is an important part of studying the biology, chemistry, and physics of the planet. You'll take a hands-on approach to understand the numbers and equations behind nature. The course will begin with a study of the foundational math of how populations change over time and how we track them, then move into how math informs simulations of biology and the environment. The course is meant to take a fun and practical view on math-driven environmental science, and is suitable for young scientists and mathematicians!
