7th-grade students studying German receive a sweet welcome at the start of the school year.
Frau Eder celebrated the start of the school year with her seventh-grade students in German 1.1 with a tradition dating back to the early 1800s. In Germany, parents give their children paper cones full of treats and candy to sweeten their transition from the life of a child in kindergarten to that of a student in primary school. In that same spirit, Frau Eder welcomed her new students to Falmouth Academy. The class made their own paper cones which she filled with sweets.
