Students Honored by the Falmouth Rotary

Congratulations to Jane Earley ’18 and Nick Kania ’18, who received Youth Merit recognition from the Falmouth Rotary Club.

Jane is secretary of Student Council and has been lacrosse MVP of the Cape and Islands League for 3 years in a row. A straight-A student, she has been named to the Headmaster’s List every trimester during her time at the school.  She is a three-sport standout for the soccer, basketball, and lacrosse teams, leading two of the varsity teams as captain last year.  A starter for the varsity lacrosse team since the 8th grade, Jane has scored over 300 goals in her career.  Last year, she made a verbal commitment to play lacrosse for Boston College.

Nick is president of Student Council, after having served as president of his class for 4 years. Last year he won the school’s National Honor Society award for a "student who gives support and help to the community." Nick won a spot in 2017 at the State Science Fair at MIT where he won a $20,000 scholarship. Nick has played leading roles in FA's plays since 7th grade and plays first trumpet in the jazz band.  Nick is very close to attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.  He was elected Crew Chief 2 years ago, leading 7 scouts and 2 adults on a 100-mile trek at a High Adventure Scout Camp in New Mexico.  He was the Senior Patrol Leader this summer to 36 scouts on a 12-day trip at the National Boy Scout Jamboree in West Virginia.
