Student Volunteerism

Falmouth Academy encourages all members of the school community to volunteer in their everyday lives.  Students and teachers organize opportunities throughout the year, both during and outside of the school day.  Every year, students and faculty give back to the greater community in a number of ways:

  • Volunteering as classroom assistants at the local elementary school and as friends to the residents of the neighboring JML Care Center
  • Raising money to support the education of three boys in Kenya
  • Writing letters and cheering on cyclists in the Wounded Warrior Bike Ride in September
  • Collecting canned goods and clothing for the Falmouth Service Center several times a year
  • Removing trash from local conservation areas and beaches
  • Assisting younger students and classmates on homework
  • Donating the proceeds from Gala to a different charity each year
