Welcome! Willkommen! Bienvenida! 欢迎
Since our founding in 1977, Falmouth Academy has welcomed students from around the globe. Exchange students have come from 25 countries including Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Spain, Nepal, and Iraq. Having international students as members of our community allows for the kinds of exchanges that enrich the educational experience for all students.
Exchange Program: For students from countries other than China, Falmouth Academy welcomes one-year exchange students. These students complete the application requirements and, if accepted, arrive in late August to participate in Orientation and begin classes on the first day of the school year.
Limited financial aid may be available, but Cape area families are prioritized in the allocation of Falmouth Academy’s limited financial aid budget. An exchange student's family is responsible for arranging host family accommodations and transportation to and from school.
It is our expectation that students will return to continue their studies or make application to college or university from their country of origin. Exchange students intending to apply to U.S. colleges and universities are advised that support from the School's College Guidance Office will be limited.
All international student applicants must demonstrate proficiency in speaking and reading English in order to be considered for admission. The school does not offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes.
Entrance Exam Requirements: For applicants whose native language is not English, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required. Test scores should be sent to Falmouth Academy from TOEFL directly. Interviews are also conducted via Skype and are in English.
