Meeting up in Boston, care of hostess Miyoko Sato '86 at her office at Mintz, Levin, were (left to right): Claire Willis, Clifford Pontbriand '99, Ben Baum '99, Liam Doherty '96, Michael O'Connell '02, Cherie Ramirez, Rob Wells, Miyoko Sato '86, Cady Cummings-Audette '98, Nichole Tennant '00, Leigh Shapiro '99, Lauren Pond '99, Nancy Twichell, Gisela Tillier, Susie Carter '86, Vicki Centurino, Deborah Bradley, Headmaster David Faus.  Kneeling are Jeremiah Atwood '03, Tyler Hickman '02, and Jeff Moon '92.  Miyoko was honored by Mr. Faus with the Alumni Mariner Award for her service to FA, both as a trustee and generous reunion hostess for the past few years. 

In his presentation, Mr. Faus noted, “You once said of Falmouth Academy , ‘We are taught from the beginning to have a voice.'  In honor of your continuing, vocal support of FA, we are pleased to honor you, with our Alumni Mariner Award.  The Sato family is intimately linked with the history of Falmouth Academy—three students (and alumni), two trustees, and one goal: to let the rest of the world know that FA is a special school that not only prepared you for college and beyond, but inspired you to take risks, to evolve, to have a voice.  Today, as a successful lawyer, wife, mother and former FA trustee, we present you with one more title: Alumni Mariner.”
